§ 2652b. Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs

  • (a) There is established in the Department of State the position of Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs.
  • (b) The Assistant Secretary shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate.

    • (2) Omitted.
  • (e) In order to carry out this section, the Secretary of State shall reprogram the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for South Asian Affairs.
