§ 9801. Appropriate congressional committees defined
In this chapter:
- (1) The term “appropriate congressional committees” means—
- (A) the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate; and
- (B) the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.
- (2) The term “relevant Federal department or agency” means the Department of State, the United States Agency for International Development, the Department of Defense, the Department of 1 1 So in original. Probably should be followed by “the”. Treasury, and any other Federal department or agency the President determines is relevant to carry out the purposes of this chapter.
