§ 18612. Restoration of laboratory directed research and development program

• (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), the Secretary shall ensure that laboratory operating contractors do not allocate costs of general and administrative overhead to laboratory directed research and development.
• (b) This section shall not apply to the national security laboratories with respect to which section 3119 1 1 See References in Text note below. of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ) applies.
